This wine has a vibrant scarlet hue with a distinctive aroma of berry fruits and sour cherries, typical of Pinot Noir. Though lighter in style, the palate is extremely well balanced and explodes with classic Canterbury tannins.
The 2008 vintage in Canterbury was a good one for ripening Pinot Noir and the fruit for this wine comes from Dallington Downs in Waipara which enjoyed stable weather patterns with plenty of heat units.
