Point Bush no longer makes wine but there are wines in stock that are available on-line. A selection of following wines are available - Visit the Point Bush Estates & Ecosanctuary website www.pointbush.co.nzPROCEEDS of Point Bush wine sales now goes to support the Point BushEcosanctuary that was establishd in 2019 and registered as a Trust -(Point Bush Ecological Restoration Trust). The Ecosanctuary is 95Ha pest/predator fenced sanctuary with a robust trapping programmeand extensive native tree planting programme. The Ecosanctuary has recreationalwalking and MTB tracks that are very popular. The biggest success to-date has been the elimination of the residual Bennett wallabyinside the sanctuary that browsed on all the regenerating native bush.Since last December 2023, there have been no signs of wallaby but the effort is still focused on trapping for possum, mustelids, rats, mice and ferral cats but not having wallaby inside is a big plus! 10,000 native trees and were planted out on the hill ridge in 2022 and a further round of planting is currently being undertaken with 5,000 natives planted out in August and September 2024.
